My favorite hangout

After lunch on the dining room and our traditional celebratory glass of champagne, we’re at the Seaview Pool and I’m doing my favorite thing … taking pictures!

At Pier 91

Made it to Pier 91 at 10:30 and we’re all checked in before 11. Surprisingly, there was no health questionnaire. Per the pier agent, only Celebrity and Royal Caribbean still make you fill one out. The rest are on an honor system and expect you to self report. At least in Seattle.

And now this beautiful view is just outside.

160 days!

It’s never too early to start a countdown.  In 160 days, hubby and I will be aboard Holland America’s MS Amsterdam for a week-long cruise to Alaska.  We’ll be helping celebrate the 50th anniversary of some dear friends.  And taking plenty of photos (I just can’t help myself).  Can’t wait to see the Amsterdam’s post-dry dock upgrades!

The view from the Promenade Deck – back in 2012. Never gets old!

I’ll be leaving my sister behind on this trip, but there’s always another cruise on the horizon … 🙂

Heading out to sea from Ketchikan

In Ketchikan

Going to be a sunny day in Ketchikan to do some shopping.

Heading out

The forward view from our cabin as we leave Seattle behind.

Lunch!

lunch in the Main Dining Room with some champagne is a lovely way to start our cruise.

Boarding the Eurodam

and we’re already boarding!

We’re in Kodiak

Any day that starts with this view is going to be great.

Though this isn’t bad either.

Anchorage

Running at better than 18 knots from Icy Strait means we also outran the sunshine. We may see considerably fewer glaciers than our 26 Glacier tour suggests if the mist doesn’t lift.
