The sunshine continues to come along with us as we dock at Icy Strait Point/Hoonah early this morning. predicted to reach 69 today. Shirt sleeve weather! Last time we were here we tendered in, but no longer. Here’s a picture of the new layout.
There is a little white golf cart thingy that will shuttle those with mobility issues aling the walkway. I do believe I will take advantage of that.
Well, the sisters are at it again. Karin twisted my arm (which consisted of “Hey Lisa-Ann, do you want to take a 2 week cruise to Alaska this year?”) and we’ll be headed north again aboard Holland America’s Maasdam, a new ship for both of us, round trip from Seattle. Along the way, we’ll be visiting Ketchikan, Tracy Arm, Juneau, Icy Strait Point, Anchorage, Homer, Kodiak, Hubbard Glacier (yay – it’s been a while since we were last there), Sitka and Victoria, B.C.
Karin is in full excursion planning mode, and I’ve got my eye on a new camera. The countdown commences.
205 days and counting.
Being strangely disinclined to catch up on work, I scanned the On Location guides. All 6 pages of all 18 of them. Why yes, yes I am shirking.
